Venez nombreux!

New tiger artwork

I had started this painting tiger during the MIWAS art market, didn’t had much time to work on it afterwards, but I finally managed to put the last brushstrokes on it :-)
I’m quite happy with the result of this closely cropped portrait, which is not something I do a lot since I usually prefer to paint some background when possible. The cat has a lot of presence, as if she was looking at something with a lot of attention…

Varnish, high res scan, and it’ll be ready to go to a new home. If you think you’d like to have it for yourself, just add it to the cart!

Cute Xmas ACEO paintings

December is coming and I’m preparing for the Christmas season. I thought it would be fun to do a few ACEOs on this theme that I could sell on art markets :-) Plus, they make great gifts  Doggies and kitties for now, I’ll do some more with other cute critters if I have some time left.

Anyway, they are for sale so if you want some, click on’em and grab’em now because there probably won’t be any left after the artshows!

New mini wood painting

“Chilling Out”, a cute tiger cub resting on a rock, done on a tiny 4″x4″ wood panel. This one is actually one of my demo paintings that I used to take with me during art shows, so you might have already seen it around. But finally time to find a new home!

Art day in Villecresnes (near Paris)

I have been doing a lot of animals lately so I jumped on the occasion last weekend to paint something a bit different

So I drove to Villecresnes (94) for their annual speed plein air contest and decided to paint the church. You can see the result below.

I didn’t win anything, but the day was fun, the weather hold, and I met very nice people with whom I talked a lot about art :).

I will be going back to this nice little town near Paris for their “Fall Exhibition” (Nov. 26th-27th). I’ll be showing artwork and selling small gifts for the Christmas season. I’ll be doing other Christmas Markets in December, dates and locations to be announced. Stay tuned!

MIWAS Summer Exhibition 2011: a wonderful event!

Sold out! 2011 was indeed a great year for me at the MIWAS Summer exhibition and exceeded all my expectations! If my wonderful buyers see this post, once again a big thank you!

Over the Edge had an incredible success and a lot of people came to find me and tell me how much they had loved the painting, it was really a great feeling and a sense of accomplishment. That’s going to be challenging to do better next year, luckily I already have some ideas for the next paintings, so I guess it’s wait and see ;)

The art market was a fantastic event too. I had a lot of fun with fellow artists, made some new friends, talked a lot with art lovers which is really nice! A big thank you to the organization team, everything was just perfect, and the new big marquee was a real improvement! Can’t wait for next year

For those who couldn’t make it, here are some picts of my pitch :)

MIWAS Summer Exhibition 2011 - August 24-29

August is coming, the MIWAS Summer Exhibition too

This year I’m showing Over the Edge, Stripes, Face to Face and Eye of the Tiger. Wish me luck!

I will be in the art market too, selling prints, cards, bookmarks and other nice gifts. I also will be demonstrating live on an acrylic tiger painting. Can’t wait to be here!

If you are in the Southampton area, please do come and say hello!

For more info you can visit MIWAS website.

New painting: Over the Edge

That one has taken a long time to be finished, probably because it is one of my biggest to date (32″ x 16″ or 80cm x 40cm) but still with plenty of details.

Without further ado, ladies & gentlemen I give you “Over the Edge”, acrylic on canvas of a powerful snow leopard climbing a snowy ridge. Enjoy!

I’d like to give a big thank you to Dominique Bureau, the gifted photographer who took and let me use the picture of “Jampal”, the female snow leopard at the “Parc des Felins“, a wonderful place near Paris to see extraordinary cats. If you are a feline lover, this is definitely the place to see!

Here is a detail part from the artwork so you can admire the furry creature better
