I’m excited to participate in the MIWAS Summer exhibition and art market at the end of the month. This looks like it’s going to be a huge and fun event!
I have entered Summit King and Morning Patrol for the exhibition.
I have created lots of small works to sell at the art market (see the wildlife gallery) and will also offer prints, cards and other cool stuff!
Althought this is gonna be a long trip with lots to plan and organize, I am really looking forward to it
My latest acrylic on papyrus (with golden leaves that drove me crazy to glue as they flew all over the studio with each tiny breath of air…
) “Sunbath” has finally arrived sound and safe to Lexington, KY (I was a bit scared it wouldn’t make it because of that volcano turmoil and suspended air traffic…).
It will be auctioned by the Pyramid Society during their 2010 Egyptian Event (June 7-12). Check their website for more infomation on this special horse show for Egyptian Arabian lovers!
If you like what you see and would like to order a custom acrylic painting on papyrus for yourself, go to the commission page or contact me directly!

I will be exhibiting 2 pieces at the “55e salon de Chatenay-Malabry” (local juried artshow) from January 9th to 24th.
Here are the artworks:
Summit King (for sale, you can purchase it online here or contact me for more information).

Got a 3rd prize for my acrylic artwork ” La Vie en Rose” at Fleurs en Seine, 1st category. I won a nice new outdoor easel, always very handy for plein air experiences! The painting is available for sale, inquiries are welcome.

And I won the 1st prize at the finale of “Peintures des Villes, Couleurs des Champs”, a regional plein air painting contest, after months of competition. “Au Bord du Rû” seems to have had success with the jury!
Also available for sale here.

Not so bad, I dare say ;)
First of all, I’d like to thank all the visitors who came and left kind comments on my blog for my first participation in the OWOH event! It was really fun, I discovered wonders and met wonderful people, I just wish I had more time to visit all the blogs, but with more than 900 wagons in the caravan it was hard to see everyone and everything! And thank you, Lisa, I can hardly wait for OWOH 2010!
Now to serious business… ;) I had 191 comments ranging in my system from 105 to 307 (with a few holes where I had to remove spam). I used the random integer generator and finally draw… 2 winners, yes 2! With almost 200 comments I thought that 2 prizes would only be fair!
OK, ok, I won’t keep up the suspense ![]()
Sooooo, winner #1 is post #227 Lisa from http://laughingorcaranch.blogspot.com

And winner #2 is post #292 Liv from http://livluvsscraps.blogspot.com/

Congratulations, you both won a custom ACEO card! I will contact you immediately, via mail and/or your blogs, and I will start painting as soon as I get your choice of subject! If I have no answer by Monday evening, I’ll draw other winners!
I’ll post the picture of the cards when they are finished. Well, I think that’s all for this year OWOH! Thanks again to each and everyone of you who took the time to leave a comment, I hope to see you around soon!
I discovered this worldwide blogging event only a day ago, almost too late as usual
It is hosted by Lisa at A Whimsical Bohemian and from Jan. 19 through Feb. 11, bloggers and others from all over the world can visit and meet with each other, share stories and comments, make connections… Each participant gives something away on their blog, usually something arty and hand made. All you have to do is post a comment to be entered in the draw!
My giveaway will be an ACEO card (3.5″ x2.5″) made in acrylic. Where is the picture you may ask? Coming soon I may answer! Why? Simply because the winner will choose the subject! Yes, you heard me, I will give away a commission card, so you can have you dog, house, or whatever subject you’d like painted! And if you have no theme or idea, then I’ll surprise you! How does that sound? Good? Then just leave a comment here, and do not forget to leave me a valid email address where I’ll be able to contact you in case you are the lucky winner!
And while you are here, I invite you to browse through my website. Su casa es mi casa, make yourself confortable and enjoy the journey!
Good Luck and thank you for visiting. I hope you come back to visit soon !
This time it was at “Longpon-sur-Orge” near Paris, I won the second price in the category “Cezanne” (for advanced painters) with “Basilique Verte”, 18″ x 13″ acrylic on gallery-wrappd canvas. Once again we had only a few hours to complete the painting. I chose to paint the Notre-Dame de Bonne Garde basilica bathed in the beautiful light of an Autumn afternoon. Finding the good spot was tricky and I ended up with my feet all wet from the surroundings swamps! Ha well, the joy of plein air
I won the 2nd price of 2nd category of the pleinair speed painting contest “Fleurs en Seine” (”Flowers around the Seine river”) at Les Mureaux (on the Seine riverbanks near Paris). This year’s theme was the Seine river and the trees, and I can say that I’m quite proud of me because I made this huge acrylique painting (26″ x 18″) in less than 6 hours, and believe me, it was a real challenge for me as I’m used to small formats… I had to paint “loose” because I would never had finished it if I had tried to paint all the little details I usually add with my 4/0 brushes!
I won a big wallet full of Sennelier finest arists’ oils and accessories! I will have no excuses now if I don’t start on oils!
